This property is situated in the hamlet of Clinet, near the local cemetery, and separated by a road from L'Eglise Clinet. The charismatic Hélène Garcin-Léveque owns it, along with Barde Haut and Poesia in Saint-Émilion, and she runs them all together with her husband, Patrice.

Clos L'Eglise's style is very similar to that of its neighbor, L'Eglise Clinet.

Mini-vertical of Clos L'Eglise

2023 Clos L'Eglise (barrel sample) 96+p

Tasted in April 2024, this wine is a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, marking the highest contribution of Cabernet Franc for the property to date. The alcohol content is 14%. The nose is aromatic, featuring notes of black cherries and black truffles. On the palate, it is potent, juicy, and mineral-driven, with a distinct taste of the soil. The wine offers great length, vibrancy, and complexity. This is a remarkable effort that truly reflects the style of Pomerol.
